This report offers an overview of the main features and benefits of Integrity Pacts, as described by Transparency International.

This report presents the findings of a study regarding the types of Collective Action Initiatives (CAIs) that have formed around anti-slavery and anti-corruption that operate in 15 particular countries, and further focuses on characteristics identified both in terms of what makes initiatives effective. The study was funded by the UK Department for International Development.

Integrity Pacts are a tool developed by Transparency International to facilitate greater civil society oversight of public procurement processes and thereby increase transparency and reduce opportunities for corruption. After two decades of experience, this report reviews the experiences of working with this tool as a learning process in order to help further improve and strengthen the tool and broaden its application into the future.

This short report provides a framework for leveraging synergies between researchers in the field of social network analysis (SNA) and practitioners in the field of intelligence and law enforcement against illegal wildlife trade (IWT). The synergies between theory and practice are potentially great yet largely unexplored.

An international workshop held at Loughborough University on 30th March 2005 provided a venue to further discuss concrete steps for implementing a research project on Integrity Pacts.
