У цьому звіті визначено найпоширеніші корупційні ризики, що впливають на лісовий сектор України та Державне Підприємство «Ліси України». У ньому також сформульовані рекомендації щодо зменшення ключових ризиків.

This document takes stock of recent progress (July 2023 to June 2024) in strengthening Ukraine's anti-corruption ecosystem. It provides an update to a previous report and is published ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin in June 2024.

Waste management is a huge industry at the local, national and international levels. Public services play a key role in dealing especially with waste generated by households. Getting waste management right is essential if we are to achieve a circular economy and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Complex legal frameworks and their weak implementation open up spaces for criminals to profit from illegally managing or trading in waste. The consequences on the environment and human health can be severe. The role of corruption in crimes involving waste is unexplored.

This document takes stock of recent progress in strengthening Ukraine's anti-corruption ecosystem with a view to safeguarding reconstruction projects. It covers:

  • Judicial and Constitutional Court reform
  • Asset recovery
  • Public procurement

This report offers a detailed deep dive into how corruption fuelled illegal logging in Ukraine during the period before the full-scale war. It explains how the Russian invasion has raised the risks of illegal logging, by increasing demand for wood and its relative value as a resource, and by reducing inspections and civil society oversight.

This handbook, written in Ukrainian, serves as an introduction to the online training course for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on anti-corruption, which is currently being developed by the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine. 

The course aims to increase understanding of business transparency and how it can be improved through Collective Action. The ultimate goal is to enhance Ukraine's position in global indices.

 

Asset recovery refers to the process by which the proceeds of crime are identified, traced, seized, confiscated and returned to their rightful owners. Generally speaking, States need to lead the process of recovering stolen assets.
