Led by the Association de la Construction du Québec (ACQ), this initiative is designed to help construction companies in Quebec to demonstrate their ethical business practices and integrity, while being part of an anti-corruption Collective Action initiative.

The Integrity Program was developed taking into account existing models of Collective Action around the world, the specificities of ACQ member construction companies and, finally, the opinions expressed by contractors and the public.

The Alliance for Integrity is a business-driven, multi-stakeholder initiative seeking to promote transparency and integrity in the private sector. To achieve this goal, it fosters collective action of all relevant actors from the private sector, the public sector and civil society.

The Alliance for Integrity is a platform that offers practical solutions to strengthen the compliance capacities of companies and their supply chains. In addition, the initiative contributes to the improvement of framework conditions by fostering dialogue between the public and private sectors.

In efforts to further engage Angolan companies in Collective Action, the Centre for Ethics in Angola (CEA), along with the Principles of Ethical Business in Angola, were launched in 2013.

The Centre seeks to provide assistance to the Angolan public and private sector in establishing ethics management within their organisations, and the accompanying Principles will serve as important tool to enhance competitiveness and better market access opportunities for Angolan firms, through demonstrating commitment to ethical business practices.

The goals of this initiative are:

This Collective Action project focuses on building alliances of like-minded business and public officials with the aim of creating a platform for collaboration and capacity building. The goal: mobilization of stakeholders in business and government through the use of policy advocacy, seminars, workshops and training programmes to create awareness and buy-in of economic and policy actors in creating a sustainable business environment through anti-corruption activities.

The initiative has thus far achieved several accomplishments, including:

The Business Ethics Initiative seeks to promote anti-corruption and ethical business principles in Indonesia. Between 1999 and 2012, the Initiative:

  • conducted 44 workshops on "Managing Ethical Dilemma for Facilitating Payment" and "Building Collective Action for Anti-Corruption";
  • conducted 11 workshops on “Developing Business Codes of Conduct for SMEs” in 7 provinces with almost 400 SMEs;
  • issued Guidelines for SMEs to develop Business Codes of Conduct (CoC);
  • published four books on Business Ethics and CoC issues.

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is a global coalition of governments, companies and civil society working together to improve openness and accountable management of revenues from natural resources.

The EITI came about in an environment of increasing pressure from civil society organisations in the late 1990s for transparency in the payments and revenues stemming from the extractive industry. In 2003, the 12 EITI Principles, focusing on the need for transparent management of natural resources, were created. Goals:

Recognising the fundamentally destructive nature of corruption and bribery on societies, economies and businesses, and in support of their companies’ unconditional commitment and strict policies against corruption and bribery in all their business dealings, the members of the Working Group on Integrity in Energy and Transport aim to collaborate to develop anti-corruption initiatives in countries in which they operate.
