The President of the Basel Institute on Governance, Professor Mark Pieth, together with his long-standing friend and renown expert Fritz Heimann, who is a founder of Transparency International (TI) and still on TI’s Advisory Council, have just released their new book: Confronting Corruption – Past Concerns, Present Challenges and Future Strategies. 

The book looks back as far as the end of the Cold War when the first inroads were made in creating a global anti-corruption movement; it analyzes the movement’s depth in outreach and impact since then as it has led to the creation of anti-corruption initiatives, programs and treaties. From there the book draws a number of general and specific lessons and goes on to suggesting new action plans for the future.
