Nataliia joined the Basel Institute in November 2025 as a Senior Specialist, Operations, based in Ukraine. She brings two decades of professional experience in operations, compliance, grants management and corporate banking, underpinned by two Master’s degrees in Public Administration and in Finance.

Prior to joining the Basel Institute, she worked as Operations Director for the USAID Democratic Governance East activity in Ukraine, implemented by Chemonics International Inc. In Poland, Nataliia served as Subawards Compliance Coordinator for Mercy Corps, ensuring that subgrants complied with donor regulations as well as local law.

She also has experience in operations and administration with FAO, UNDP and HelpAge International in Ukraine. Before joining international projects, she led the Corporate Credits Department at OTP Bank in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine.

She enjoys continuous learning and is currently preparing for the Certified Examiners Certification.

Outside the office, Nataliia is an avid tennis player and enjoys attending live concerts, finding that the rhythm of sport and music fuels her passion for dynamic, people centred governance work.
