Iryna joined the Basel Institute in October 2023 as Programme Officer in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Iryna has over 15 years of experience of working on international projects and programmes in Ukraine for the United Nations, the European Union and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). She began her career at the International Labour Organization (ILO) as an intermediary between Ukrainian agencies and ILO headquarters in Geneva.
For the last 5 years, Iryna was the primary contact person for the EU-funded project “Support to Comprehensive Reform of Public Administration in Ukraine”, ensuring good communication and interaction on administrative, financial and organisational issues.
Iryna’s expertise in project management includes the ability to establish reliable management systems for the coordination, procurement, administration, financial management and progress reporting of projects in Ukraine.
Iryna holds a Master’s in International Information and Public Relations from the Institute of International Relations at Kyiv Shevchenko National University and a Bachelor's in English and German translation and philology from Sumy State Pedagogical University.
