Nthambi Chikuse joined the Basel Institute on Governance in November 2020 to support our Malawi-based team in managing the procurement of goods and services.

She is a supply chain professional with over five years of experience working in the procurement sector. Before joining the Basel Institute, she had worked in procurement for Save the Children, the World Bank-funded Agricultural Productivity Programme for Southern Africa (APPSA) and the government-run Chitedze Research Station.

Thanks to these experiences, she is skilled in managing procurement for organisations with multiple concurrent projects and needs. These include preparing tenders, evaluating bids, managing inventories and supplier performance, plus KPI-based monitoring and reporting.
