Basel Institute releases 5th edition of Basel Anti-Money Laundering Index
The Basel Institute released its fifth edition of the Basel Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Index today. The Index is an annual ranking assessing the money laundering/terrorism financing risks of 149 countries.
Since 2012, the Basel AML Index remains the only index published by an independent not-for-profit organisation ranking countries according to their risk of money laundering and terrorist financing. The Basel AML Index is used by the private sector as an established AML country risk-rating tool for compliance purposes, and in the public sector for research and policy measurement.
