Olga de Truchis de Varennes is a senior financial crime compliance professional specialising in AML/CFT, crypto-assets and blockchain technologies, with more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors.
She began her career as an AML/CFT Analyst at the Financial Intelligence Unit of Ukraine before joining Société Générale, where she has held various compliance and financial crime roles over the past 16 years. Since December 2023, she is Group Compliance Coordinator for Crypto-Assets and Blockchain at Société Générale, leading the Group’s initiatives on digital asset compliance and financial crime risk management.
Representing Société Générale, she co-leads the Crypto-Assets Workstream of the Europol Financial Intelligence Public-Private Partnership (EFIPPP) and contributes to the Wolfsberg Working Groups related to virtual assets.
Olga is also a member of the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime (GCFFC) and has been serving since late 2022 as an expert on virtual assets for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), supporting international capacity-building and policy initiatives.
In January 2026, she was appointed Ambassador of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC).
In March 2025, she completed the Blockchain Advanced Program – Decentralised Finance at École Polytechnique Executive Education (France).
