Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of the 2025 Public Edition of the Basel AML Index, an independent ranking and risk assessment tool measuring money laundering and related financial crime risks worldwide.

The event opened with a presentation of the 2025 Public Edition and key findings by Kateryna Boguslavska, Head of Financial Crime Risk at the Basel Institute on Governance.

This was followed by a panel discussion exploring the Basel AML Index’s two focus topics for 2025:

• assessing financial crime risks related to virtual assets at the jurisdictional level, and

• understanding lower-risk jurisdictions and allocating resources more effectively using a risk-based approach.
