Public Governance becomes Prevention, Research and Innovation
The Basel Institute's Public Governance team has a new name: Prevention, Research and Innovation.
The name better reflects our team’s role connecting corruption research with anti-corruption practice and piloting innovative anti-corruption interventions.
Claudia Baez Camargo, who has led our research and prevention activities since 2009, said:
"Our work is based on rigorous research exploring how cutting-edge methodologies and innovations can promote corruption prevention results. We stand behind our conviction that this approach is fundamental to make substantive progress in reducing corruption where it is most needed."
The team focuses in particular on:
- Social network analysis
- Political economy assessments
- Anti-corruption diagnostics, strategy design and evaluation
- Social norm and behaviour change interventions
- Sextortion prevention
