Congreso Internacional de Gestión Empresarial y Derecho Penal Económico: Delitos Corporativos y Compliance en Iberoamérica

On 2–4 August 2023, the International Congress on "Business Management and Economic Criminal Law: Corporate Crimes and Compliance in Ibero-America" will take place in Quito, Ecuador.

This event is organised by the DDC Foundation in Ecuador, the Observatory of Transnational Organized Crime at the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the Study Center of Economic Criminal Law and Business (Peru). It is supported by the University of San Francisco (Ecuador) and the United States Embassy in Ecuador. The Basel Institute is one of several collaborating organisations.

The congress is aimed at members of the executive branch, justice operators, compliance officers, company administrators, lawyers and law students. Its objective is to provide a solid and innovative training on economic criminal law and compliance.

It will feature the participation of expert professors from the University of Salamanca, Pompeu Fabra University, University of Castilla - La Mancha, University of San Sebastian in Chile, University of San Francisco in Quito, Catholic University of Ecuador, Central University of Ecuador, speakers from the National Court of Justice of Ecuador, the Office of the Attorney General.

Oscar Solórzano, Head for Latin America at the Basel Institute on Governance, will also speak at the event.
