George Bwanali joined the Basel Institute in August 2024 as Specialist, Procurement in Malawi.

Prior to joining the Basel Institute George held various roles in administration, procurement and logistics at Self Help Africa, Jhpiego Malawi and Goal Malawi.

A procurement and logistics professional with 20 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing and supply chain management, George is skilled in contract negotiation, vendor management and process optimisation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Malawi Polytechnic and an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration and Management.
