Goals

The Industrial Companies Working Group was created to improve public procurement processes in Russia. The goals of this initiative were to:

  • Clarify tender procedures, making them more transparent;
  • Build the confidence of the business community that tenders are being conducted in a fair and even-handed way;
  • Develop anti-corruption mechanisms in public procurement.

Stakeholders

The Industrial Companies Working Grop was facilitated by the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) and brought together international and Russian companies, the Russian government and not-for-profit organizations.

Activities

Between March and May 2012, ICWG completed the analyses of Federal Law “On Federal Contract System in the Sector of Goods, Works and Services Procurement” and provided recommendations on its improvement to the authors at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
