Mexico's Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (Business Coordinating Council - CCE) has worked with more than 150 member companies and other organisations to draw up 10 principles of the "social dimension of companies". The principles were launched at an event in Mexico City on February 11, 2020.

The list contains 10 principles that companies commit to undertaking along with society, their employees, the environment, and compliance with the law, among other things. The unofficial English translation is as follows:

• Build a relationship of trust and credibility with society.
• Guarantee greater opportunities for formal employment, growth and development for our employees and their families.
• Be an example of integrity and ethics; and comply with all our fiscal and tax obligations.
• Modernise our business culture, in order to have better organised and more competitive companies of all sizes, according to international trends.
• Establish a collaboration between large companies and MSMEs and with the creation of supply chains; pay suppliers on time and properly, and transfer technology and knowledge.
• Demonstrate our moral obligation to society; actively participate in the development of communities and build better living conditions for Mexicans.
• Embrace and promote inclusion, diversity, and the full respect for human rights.
• Promote sustainability in our economic activities and a more conscious use of natural resources.
• Bring our companies into the digital era, promote industry 4.0, incorporate technologies and facilitate their use by our employees and communities.
• Promote a responsible and proactive relationship with the authorities, demanding clear rules and legal and economic certainty for investments; and thus positively influence public policies for the benefit of the country.
