Rafael Bätscher joined the Basel Institute on Governance in August 2022 for a one-year period as IT Intern.

The internship is the final part of Rafael’s four-year study programme at the Informatikmittelschule (IMS) technical college in Basel, Switzerland. During the first three years at the college, he developed experience in using programming languages including Java, Python, MySQL, PHP, C# and HTML, as well as other key skills in software engineering. 

At the Basel Institute, Rafael will support our growing number of IT and web development projects, including programming and testing.

A native of Basel, Rafael speaks fluent German and English as well as French.
